Cartersville has a thriving downtown business district containing a wide variety of interesting shops, restaurants and retail businesses. An eclectic collection of shops and restaurants called Under the Bridge features the Appalachian Grill and D. Morgan’s, two highly acclaimed restaurants, and Periwinkle which was voted Best Shoppe in the 2008 People's Choice Awards. The Shoppes at Morningside, 402 East Church Street, in the center of Cartersville’s shopping district contains another intriguing cluster of shopping boutiques.

West End Commons at 650 Henderson Drive on the west side of Cartersville is an upscale shopping boutique center with more than 50 stores including hair salons, party shops, candy shops, clothing shops, dentist offices and shoe stores.
