Georgia Barbecue Classic and Concert Kickoff

The Georgia Barbecue Classic is a fundraiser that will make your mouth water just thinking about it. All proceeds benefit the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter, which has served over 3,400 men, women and families since 1996. You can start the weekend with the GBC Concert Kickoff on Friday, June 4, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Admission of $5 per car includes parking and concert.Cash only at the event.
Things will really be cooking at the Georgia Barbecue Classic on Saturday, June 5, from 11 am - 5 pm. The competition includes “backyard” cook teams. Admission includes sampling tickets, children's area, Saturday concert and parking. Cost is $10 per car. Children two and under are free. Cash only at the event.
There will be vendors of all types of food onsite. The event takes place rain or shine; some covered areas are available for sun/rain relief. No pets, please – they will not be able to resist the BBQ!
Both events will be held at the Sam Smith Park at 1155 Douthit Ferry Road in Cartersville. The Park is located adjacent to Cartersville Middle School.
